An independent FILMMAKER & DIRECTOR originally from JAPAN and currently based in London with two decades of experience crafting commercials for major international brands and collaborating with a diverse array of A-list actors, athletes, and artists.
‘Rage’, a multicultural storyteller, spent his childhood between LONDON, ZURICH, and TOKYO, incorporating diverse influences and styles without being tied to a single country’s perspective. An accomplished VIOLINIST with a Grade 8 in ABRSM (Associate of the Royal School of Music) and a refined MARTIAL ARTIST trained in various combat disciplines, Rage brings a unique blend of art, fashion, and emotion to his visual content. His rational and logical thinking stems from attending LLB Law Degree at the University of London (UCL).
Rage’s visual style reflects his diverse background, fusing his extensive studies in performance and music with his daily martial arts training, resulting in a distinct sense of TEMPO, DEPTHS, and STRENGTHS in his work. His multicultural upbringing allows him to create a balance between ARTISTIC expression and CULTURAL understanding.
Having been based in East Asia, particularly SHANGHAI and HONG KONG for over a decade, Rage has developed a deep understanding of the Asian market and its consumers. He has found great success in introducing fresh ideas and visual styles to both local and international brands, earning him recognition as one of the first FOREIGN PIONEERS to truly embrace the essence of these markets while maintaining an international vision.
He has written, produced and directed 3 INDEPENDENT SHORT FILMS: “The Mosquito Man”, “The River” and “The Thief & The Gentleman”, and is currently developing and financing for his first feature film, “Them Scrubs“, set to begin production in February of 2025. He is virtually fluent in Japanese & English, and is currently furthering his studies in Chinese.
The nickname “Rage,” once a testament to his fierce competitive spirit in combat sports, now embodies the unbridled passion for filmmaking that burns within him.
